Tom Strom Sr., posts an official time of 57.28 seconds flying a Sweet Vee at the NORTH-SOUTH Shootout in Shelton, WA, August 29 – 30, 2009.   This is the fastest official Q-40 flight ever!

Accordance to the current AMA rules, he was not able to back it up the same day for an official AMA record. Out of the 5 heats on Saturday, he flew 4 of them in the 59′s or better!  Wow, who says a V tail is not fast?
